Samsung launches Ultra fast 950 PRO PCIe SSD with 3D-NAND + NVMe

Samsung has announced their rollout of 3rd generation V-NAND technology by introducing new SSDs in different form factors. The new technology will allow more capacity in SSDs at the same price as todays while also delivering more performance efficiently. Mass production of the 3rd Gen V-NAND technology is said to start in early 2016.

Asus Zenphone GO announced in India, Priced at INR 7,999

Asus has launched Zenphone Go on Flipkart. Zenphone Go is the low-end variant of the Zenphone family. It features an HD screen and a Quadcore Mediatek processor and is priced at Rs 7,999. It will be available exclusively through Flipkart.

Google Play Gift card now available in India

Google has announced the availability of physical Google Play Gift cards in India. Google announced prepaid cards in June in India. The cards available at the moment are priced at Rs 750, Rs 1000 and Rs 1,500. These cards can me used to buy Apps, Games, Magazines or Movies from Play Store using the Redeem Code provided in the card.

Moto X Play available in India, Starting at Rs 18,499

Motorola has launched Moto X Play in India. It is sold exclusively on Flipkart. Both the 16GB and 32GB versions are available at a price of INR 18,499 and INR 19,999. The phone was launched month back it is a slightly downgraded Moto X Style for the Mid-Range market.

Meizu MX5 going to launch in India

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu has announced that they will be launching MX5 in India. It will be sold exclusively on Snapdeal, where you can register for notification when it becomes available.

MX 5 features a 5.5-inch Full-HD AMOLED display covered with Gorilla Glass 3, The rear camera features a 20.7 MP , f/2.2 aperture,6-element lens and laser auto focus system. The front camera is 5MP one with f/2.0 aperture.The processor used is Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795) which is a Octa-Core Cortex A53 clocked at 2.2GHz paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

On the connectivity front it features Dual-Band WiFi b/g/n and ac support, along with Bluetooth 4.1. It also supports 4G LTE. No pricing details have been published.

Apple Refreshes The iPod Touch With A8 SoC And New Cameras

Today Apple released a new version of the iPod Touch. The previous model of the iPod Touch was released back in 2012, and over time it has seen a few changes with the addition of a 16GB model without a rear-facing camera, and then the camera being added back to it further down the road. This 2015 model of the iPod Touch is an evolutionary improvement, but still the biggest improvement to the product that we've seen in quite some time.

The new iPod touch has the 64-bit Apple A8 SoC inside, just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Which improves the performance quite a bit from the Apple A5 on the previous iPod Touch model. The new SoC is also accompanied by 1GB LPDDR3 RAM up from 512MB. It also gets the M8 motion coprocessor for accurate tracking of physical activities. Furthermore, there's a new 8 MP rear camera with f/2.4 along with a improved 1.2 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Other changes include a new 128GB capacity, and the addition of 802.11ac WiFi connectivity. Apple's listing for Bluetooth 4.1 support also confirms that their Bluetooth software stack has been updated to that version.

The revamped iPod touch surprisingly costs the same - starts at $199 if you're happy with 16GB of storage. If you want 32GB, you'll need to pay $249. For the 64GB model the price is $299 and 128GB iPod touch costs $399. All of these versions are already up for grabs from Apple's online store.

Samsung Galaxy A8 to feature a new thin 16-megapixel camera sensor

CyanogenMod 11.0, 12.0 Are Now Final

Cyanogen announced the final "snapshot" releases for CyanogenMod 11.0 (Android 4.4) and 12.0 (Android 5.0), as the company and the open source community supporting the CyanogenMod project start working on Android M (presumably CyanogenMod version 13). Snapshots are versions of CyanogenMod that are more stable than "nightlies" but less stable than "release candidates."
