Yu has announced that their deal with Cyanogen Inc is over and their current devices will now ship with pure Android instead of Cyanogen OS. Along with the change they have also made a price-cut to Yuphoria from Rs 6,999 to Rs 6,499.
Yuphoria was released with Cyanogen OS and made big waves in Indian market, it had a metal frame and good design, all under the budget. The change from Cyanogen OS to stock Android is not much of a problem for normal users but the core users may be a bit disappointed considering the customization options that Cyanogen OS had. So all the future devices including the rumored upcoming Flagship device from YU should sport Stock Android.
