The Los Angeles Police Department has upped their game by upgrading to Electric Vehicles (EV).The LA mayor Eric Garcetti announced the use of 128 Plug-in Hybrids and 160 Pure Battery powered EVs for the LAPD. This move will bring more organisations and common people to adopt EV to reduce the Carbon Emissions and heavy reliance on Fossil Fuels. The announcement comes on the eve of the U.S.-China Climate Leaders Summit which is to be hosted in L.A. on Sept. 15-16.
The EVs used are Tesla's Model S with the P85D config and BMW i3 Hybrid vehicles. The Tesla Model S can go from 0-60 in 3.2sec while the i3 does the same in 7sec.
