Samsung promised Lollipop updates for the E-series devices, that is the E5 and E7. While there have been test builds of lollipop for E5, Samsung UK has confirmed that lollipop update for E7 is cancelled due to some unknown reason reason.
There are no hardware limitations here as both E5 and E7 feature snapdragon 410 and 1.5GB RAM on E5 and 2GB RAM on E7, which is very much capable of handling lollipop.
This may be limited to UK customers but time will tell weather they will reconsider the choice.
