Google has launched Nexus 5X the long awaited successor to the Nexus 5. Google has again partnered with LG to make the Nexus 5X. The phone is well designed and features a 12.3 MP sensor with large 1.55µm pixels.
The specs of the Nexus 5X is ample and enough to compete in it's category. It features a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor along with 2GB RAM and an ample 2700mAh battery which should be able to provide a full day usage. The display on the Nexus 5X is a 5.2 inch Full-HD panal. It is available in 16GB and 32GB options with no option for expanding the memory.
The highlight of the device is it's camera, featuring 12.3MP sensor with 1.55µm pixel size. The large pixel size helps it take some good low light shots. This is the largest pixel size used in any smartphone sensor. It also features a Laser Auto focus system for fast focusing along with a Dual-LED flash. The sensor is so good that the same sensor is used in Nexus 6P.
The phone also features a fingerprint sensor on the back for fast and secure unlocking. Google says it takes less than 600ns to register the fingerprint. It also learns the fingerprint the more you use it for even faster detection. The conectivity features include a WiFi ac with 2X2 MIMO , Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and GPS/GLONASS.
The phone also features a single front-firing speakers and 3 mics for noise cancellation. The phone is available for Pre-order in some countries like US,UK,Japan etc. The 16GB version costs $379.99 while the 32GB version for $400. In India it starts at Rs 31,900 which is much higher than anticipated 25k budget.
