Earlier this year Samsung introduced its new Galaxy A-series smartphones that sport metallic properties and premium finish. After MWC 2015, a trademark filing revealed Samsung’s plans to add more devices to the A-series.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A7 at the start of this year with an octa-core CPU. It appears that shortly the South Korean company will introduce A7’s successor - A8 (SM-A800F) in various markets of Asia and Europe region. As per recently rumors, the Galaxy A8 might come with a fingerprint sensor in mere 5.9mm thick body.
As a premium finish bearing mid-range device, the Galaxy A8 packs a few nice perks. Samsung has packed a 5.7” 1080p Super AMOLED display and powered it with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset arming 2GB of RAM along.
Imaging will be supported with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera along with 16GB internal storage. Running the TouchWiz UX based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Galaxy A8 will offers 4G LTE support and a 3,050 mAh battery.
